I’ve invited you to come check out this website marketplace. But you may be asking yourself, “Why should I join this place?” I don’t blame you, I would be asking too. Many of you have been successfully selling your products in other places for years. I’ve been buying your products for many years too! I have created some things to use in therapy but mostly have relied on finding products to use online or from colleagues. Then the pandemic hit and suddenly I was thrust into providing telehealth services and was forced to get creative really fast! I ended up creating so many materials that I thought, “why not try to sell some of these online?” so I started looking into my options. I was so shocked at how much money I would be losing to commissions if I signed up to sell on other sites that I became disheartened. I certainly wouldn’t create enough materials to start my own website, and who would be able to find it anyway? It seemed pretty daunting and discouraging. Kudos to those of you making it happen! Well, I thought someone needs to build and host a marketplace dedicated to this profession. The more I thought about it, it just seemed like such a necessary change: we all work too hard to be giving away all our money to big business! By opening a smaller marketplace, not only can the SLPs working hard to create and sell products get paid at a higher rate, but also our customers will have such an easier time finding products dedicated to the SLP profession! (It can be pretty difficult to find speech therapy products on other websites without doing a lot of digging!) So, I’ll hope you’ll at least give it a try and give me some feedback on if you like it or not. Is this going to be a good move for you? I’m hoping you’ll say yes!
